The Samsung Transfix (R730) is the third Cricket Android smartphone from Samsung. With a 3.2” HVGA touch-screen, 3.2MP camera/camcorder, wifi capability, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the Transfix is a text-tastic smartphone at an affordable price. The Transfix is a fully featured Android smartphone featuring the Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread) and an 800 mhz processor for a great Android experience. Quick Start Instructions

To start your Cricket service, just follow these easy instructions:

  1. Charge your battery overnight.
  2. Read these instructions and have a pen ready before you call to set up service.
  3. If you have signed up for Cricket service, a valid Social Security or Driver's License Number will be required to activate your phone. Please have this information ready when you call to activate your Cricket phone.
  4. Once your battery is charged, call 1-800-CRICKET from a different phone.
  5. A Cricket representative will give you:
    • Your new Cricket MDN (Mobile Directory Number) This is your 10 digit phone number.
    • Your new 10 digit Cricket MIN (Mobile Identification Number)
    • Your 1 to 5 digit Cricket CDMA System ID Number.
  6. Program your Cricket phone number into your Cricket phone using the instructions on the following page.

Programming your Cricket phone

Over-The-Air Programming:

  1. Turn on your phone using the power button
  2. In case of Initial Programming Wizard, Select your language and then press Activate button. In case of dialing screen, dial *228 and press the send button.
  3. This will start the activation process, follow the voice prompts
  4. If your phone fails to program over the air please refer to the keypad programming instructions below

Keypad Programming:

  1. Turn on your phone using the power button. While in the programming mode the [OK] key is used to save.
  2. Enter ##626* (##NAM*) for BASIC NAM Programming
  3. You will be prompted to ENTER SUBSIDY CODE
  4. Enter 333333 (3 six times. Press OK.
  5. Select MDN.
  6. Enter your new 10 digit Cricket MDN and press [OK].
  7. Select MIN.
  8. Enter your new 10 digit Cricket MIN and press [OK].
  9. Select CDMA System ID.
  10. Enter the 1 to 5 digit CDMA System ID and press [OK].
  11. Press the Home/Back button. Your phone will reset.

Cricket is upgrading its CDMA network to 4G GSM and expects to stop offering CDMA wireless service as early as March 2015. THIS CDMA PHONE WILL NO LONGER WORK ON OUR WIRELESS NETWORK AFTER WE COMPLETE THIS UPGRADE.
